Jeff Hirsch has lived in South Nyack since 2004 with his wife Jennifer and their two teenage sons, their American Staffordshire Terrier mutt, Tinkerbelle and their Tuxedo Tabby cat, Wendy.
Jeff has been actively involved in the community for many years. He coached both sons OMM soccer teams when they were little even though soccer is his sport. When they took to wresting he joined forces with Nyack Alum Jeremy Szerlip to revamp the Nyack Youth Wrestling Club and coached and co-ran the club for 7 years until they handed it over to the Nyack Rec Dept., though I remain involved. He also coached for several years in the Nyack Youth Lacrosse league and continues to support Nyack wrestling and lacrosse at all levels.
He is a supporter of the Nyack Center and can’t wait for Men Cooking to be on again. He is also a founding member of the Friends of South Nyack Facebook group and has been an active and vocal resident working on trail/bridge/SUP issues as well as parking, traffic and land use issues in the village. He was a member of the South Nyack Zoning Board of Appeals from 2017 to 2020.
Professionally, he is CEO of Hirsch Holdings and Chief Market Strategist at Probabilities Fund Management, LLC. and the editor-in-chief of the Stock Trader’s Almanac and Almanac Investor eNewsletter and the author of several investment books. A 30+-year Wall Street veteran; he took over from his father and founder Yale Hirsch in 2001. The Stock Trader’s Almanac has been published for over 50 years; the 2021 edition is the 54th consecutive annual edition. He studied Philosophy at American University in Washington DC before joining the family business in 1989.
