The feasibility study for the Village’s Economic Sustainability Initiative is under way! The Board of Trustees has appointed a committee to work with our consultant, VHB, and oversee the study. The committee consists of Jerry Ilowite (Chair), Richard Kohlhausen, and Deputy Mayor Alain Leinbach. One of the first tasks is to plan a public presentation about the study and get input from our residents.
Over the next six weeks Tappan Zee Constructors will install steel girders next to and over River Road. The positioning of a crane for this will require temporary closings during the day of one lane of River Road. One lane will remain open and TZC flag persons will direct traffic. When TZC installs the girders directly over River Road, they will need to halt traffic entirely for about 20 minutes. This is projected to happen only 5 times over the course of 10 days. We are working with TZC to ensure that these closings will not affect school buses and that emergency vehicles will still be able to get through. We will keep you apprised of any updates.
Enjoy the fall season,
Bonnie Christian
