Mayor’s Update – October 12, 2016
The Governor’s Mass Transit Task Force which was convened to study mass transit options for the New NY Bridge recommended enhanced bus service. This is being implemented by the New York State Department of Transportation and is currently referred to as the Lower Hudson Transit Link.
New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will be holding two public outreach meetings this month:

The Village Board strongly encourages all residents to attend one of these meetings to learn about the project and its impact on our village. Your feedback will be taken by the NYSDOT at this meeting. For more information visit the project’s website at https://www.dot.ny.gov/lhtl
On another note we have great news – The New York State Department of Transportation is providing the village with $114,000 to widen and repair sidewalks along NY Route 9W within the Village of South Nyack.

Electronic Waste Collection held for South Nyack residents: For proper recycling of electronics bring TV’s, computers, laptops, tablets, monitors, scanners, radios, printers, copiers, VCR’s, CD players, DVD players, telephones, cell phones, game consoles, power supplies & small household appliances to the South Nyack DPW Garage at 65 Brookside Avenue.
November meeting change – Our first November Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Monday, November 7th at 7:30pm due to Election Day being on November 8th.
