Mayor’s Update – March 21, 2018

Dear Residents,

Thank you to all who came out to vote yesterday.  Congratulations to Trustee Alain Leinbach, Trustee Andrew Goodwillie and Village Justice Dennis Lynch on their re-election.  The referendum passed with the majority vote; which means going forward our annual election will be held in November.  The administration and record keeping for our Village elections will be handled by the Rockland County Board of Elections. November of 2019 is when the next Village election will be held.

The Lower Hudson Transit Link (LHTL) “Open House” update meeting for Rockland County is still scheduled for Thursday, March 22, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Palisades Center Mall, Adler Room on the 4th Floor. However, this evening’s Westchester meeting was cancelled due to the impending snow storm and the rescheduled date is not available at this time.  LHTL is the State’s future bus program and will include bus stops in Nyack and South Nyack. This program is in conjunction with New York State’s mass transit objectives for the Lower Hudson Valley. For more information on the LHTL, please visit their website:  http://www.dot.ny.gov/LHTL
