Dear Residents, Happy New Year! I am happy to report that I have received an update from Michael Schaefer, Project Director Lower Hudson Transit Link, regarding the improvements at the new bus shelters on Road F. Please see the information provided below: The static pedestrian crossing signs were installed. The lights have been installed in the two bus shelters; one is on and working. There is a plan for a bench to be installed by the end of January. It will be a standalone bench between the shelter and the TVMs. The DOT has started to look at the design for the Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon. This will be most likely installed by the end of March. The DOT has the specification for the lit bollard, but is holding off on any design until the interchange reconstruction is complete to see if the above improvements; as well as the completion of additional sidewalks, have properly addressed safety concerns. Thank you for your continued patience during this long, extensive project. As this project is nearing its completion, we can prepare to embrace this new addition to our community; as well as look forward to enjoying the beautiful views that the Shared Use Path will provide us with.
