Construction crews are scheduled to install a new overhead sign gantry within Interchange 10 in South Nyack this week. Weather permitting, the work will begin on Wednesday, February 26th, and conclude on Friday, February 28th, resulting in traffic delays in the immediate area between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
During this period, motorists should expect traffic approaching the New York State Thruway on-ramps to be reduced to a single lane controlled by flag persons, along with periodic, 15-minute traffic stops. Multiple stops will be required to safely install the new gantry over the roadway and remove an existing gantry.
Variable Message Signs will advise motorists of the upcoming operation.
