Recently, Brian Conybeare, Special Advisor to Governor Cuomo and the New NY Bridge Team posted on line various proposals for the Shared Use Path terminus and parking. They asked residents to comment on these proposals.
The South Nyack Board of Trustees and our Tappan Zee Task Force were not notified in advance of the posting or asked directly to weigh in on these proposals. As you know from my updates, for many months we have been asking the New NY Bridge Team to host a Community Meeting to review the options for the terminus of the Shared Use Path.
The Board of Trustees, State and County elected officials and most importantly, South Nyack residents have stated their strong support for the terminus to be within Interchange 10. It is important that all South Nyack residents be heard. We encourage you to review these concepts and the options that are being proposed. They can be seen at http://www.newnybridge.com/documents/sup/index.html.
Please send your responses to Brian Conybeare at Info@NewNYBridge.com and to me at Bonnie.Christian@southnyack.ny.gov stating your opinion as to the location of the terminus and the proposed parking.
Please do not miss this opportunity to express your views on these critical issues facing South Nyack.
