Mayor’s Lower Hudson Transit Link Update – April 18, 2017

Date Name File
04/18/2017 Mayor’s Update Lower Hudson Transit Link Update – April 18, 2017

Do you or your neighbors use the TZ Express bus? If so, plan to attend our Village Board Meeting on Tuesday, April 25th at 7:30 p.m. to hear about and discuss the bus route changes coming to Rockland County and South Nyack.

The NYS Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration have designed a new program “Lower Hudson Transit Link (LHTL)”. We have enlisted the help of a few dedicated residents to review the plans as they relate to South Nyack and the project as a whole. They will be presenting their findings, the pros and cons, deficiencies and challenges.

Saturday, May 6, 2017 is the last day you can make comment to the NYSDOT regarding this project; email to LHTL@dot.ny.gov. The LHTL Report is available on the Project’s website for your review and comment: (https://www.dot.ny.gov/lhtl/resources/library). The report is extremely large and cumbersome, so the committee has reviewed all of the documents and identified the numerous pages that are pertinent to South Nyack. To review this information please click on the above PDF.

The Village Board and I will be preparing our comments to send to the State and would appreciate hearing from you on April 25 at 7:30 p.m., Village Hall, 282 South Broadway.
