The board has approved two additional members for the South Nyack TZB Task Force. They are South Nyack residents Greg Toolan and Nancy Willen. Both will be an asset to the board and will complement our existing members having extensive experience in surveying, County transportation, and highway issues.
We have had several issues with Tappan Zee Constructor’s workers parking on village streets. I have addressed this issue with Brian Conybeare and have seen a vast improvement. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
The damage caused by Hurricane Sandy on Voorhis Avenue has now been fixed. The roadway has been repaved, along with the installation of new storm drains and sewers.
Just a reminder to those of our residents who pay their property taxes directly to the village, taxes are due by June 30 or a penalty will be incurred.
Noise monitoring continues to be an issue. Our newly hired environmental team is working diligently to help us resolve the issue by obtaining raw data which will give us a better measurement of the actual decibel readings.
I, along with our board members hope to see all of you at the first of our 3 summer concerts on Sunday, June 29. We are featuring the Old No. 7 Band. The concert will be held from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Bring the kids, snacks, blankets or chairs and enjoy the family fun.
As always have a great weekend, Bonnie
